Verify a credential

Check whether a credential is authentic, unaltered and still valid. Anyone can do this — you do not need an account and nothing is recorded against you.

It looks like cred_ followed by 16 characters. You will find it in the verification link.

Upload the original file. A screenshot or a resized copy will not work — the credential travels inside the file, and recompressing it strips the credential out.

Why uploading the file tells you more

Checking by identifier confirms that the credential exists and is valid. Uploading the file does that and also compares your copy against the issuer's. If someone edited the name or the grade inside the file, the identifier would still be valid — only the comparison catches it.
